We were ecstatic when we heard about the new experience hitting London revolving around Bollywood, brunch, music and entertainment! We had the very amazing opportunity to attend The Bollywood Brunch, which was revealed to be at Proud Embankment  (FYI such an amazing venue), so here is a review on our experience!

With music provided by DJ Rugrats team ‘Musical Movements’ who are renowned for their weddings, club nights and one-off specials, delivered Bollywood classics and the latest hits at the brunch, which we could not stop singing along to. They even played one of our favourite 90’s bangers, ‘Aankh Maare‘ from ‘Tere Mere Sapne‘!

On to the food front, the culinary geniuses from Rolawala crafted the 3-course Indian menu made from scratch and with a twist. On the menu was:

Starter: Chickpeas with corn, pineapple, coconut and chili topped with tamarind and crunchy sevien.

Main: Beetroot and coconut dal with Sri Lankan red rice, carrot, and cumin salad picked onion, coriander, sevian, fresh lemon and chutney.

Dessert: Chocolate and Cardamon spice cream sandwich with vanilla cheesecake and chai caramel brittle.

The food was fuelled with flavour and loved the way they tried to combine different textures, spice, sweet, savoury and sourness together. We could just feel punches of flavour in every bite, we wish could of had seconds of the starter ❤

Entertainment for the event was brought by Bollywood Vibes who set the atomsphere alight and got some of the guests on their feet during their performances. They got their thumka on by dancing to some Bollywood blockbusters! Not only that there was a dhol player and lip sync battle… that’s right an EPIC LIP SYNC BATTLE! If you go to The Bollywood Brunch you need to get involved in this!

 

Overall The Bollywood Brunch was a fun experience, especially being a Bollywood fan ourselves, it would certainly be a great activity for groups, may it be for a birthday or hen party. With tasty food in your stomach you can channel out your inner Bollywoodness at The Bollywood Brunch!
