How To Add Bollywood Style To Your Indian Wear!

on

With Bollywood playing a HUGE influence on what’s trending in the UK Asian fashion scene, we thought we would give you some inspiration on how to pull off that Bollywood style! Our looks here were inspired by that iconic red sari look worn by Sushmita Sen in Main Hoon Na and Kareena Kapoor’s trendy wedding look from Veere De Wedding.

Ta-dah… So here is the first look! Huma did a casual up-do incorporating baby’s-breath (Gypsophila) and complimented this with natural looking make-up…. an ever-popular make-up trend at the moment.

To add a traditional touch with this modern look, we wore Heritage Jewellery by Ridhi’s gold kundan and white pearl choker and earrings. And to finish the look we selected a Saree Walee red pearl net sari, we tried to select a more elegant version of what Sushmita Sen wore in Main Hoon Na. This look is perfect for an evening function if you are a wedding guest or attending an eloquent family function/celebration.

For our final look we kept the same Kareena Kapoor inspired up-do and paired it up with a Saree Walee blingly yellow sari with yellow gem work, and elegant royal blue enamel tear drop earrings and necklace. This outfit is so versatile it could be worn either day or night.
