Sabyasachi’s design philosophy is simple – personalised imperfection of the human hand. Deserts, gypsies, antique textiles and cultural traditions of his hometown, Kolkata, have been a lifelong inspiration for this designer who believes that “clothes should just be an extension of one’s intellect”. He uses unusual fabric materials, texturing and detailing, a fusion’ of styles patch-worked with stunning embellishments in a distinct color palette. Sabyasachi describes his own collections as “an international styling with an Indian soul”. You know Sabyasachi is unique when you unknowingly look at one of his pieces and can blindly say it is a Sabyasachi creation”. I can most certainly vouch for this and this is a rare quality a fashion brand can have. Sabyasachi to me, speaks glamorous, chic and sophisticated fashion, who is a gem in our Indian fashion fraternity today.
