Aditi Gupta’s brand established in 2009 and now retails in New Delhi and in renoun multi-designer stores of India such as Origins in Hyderabad and Mokshaa in Chennai.
Aditi Gupta creates couture attire and accessories by transforming traditional Indian drapes, textiles and techniques into their fashion-forward outfits, embroideries and handcrafted products, which maintains the personality of a elegant and contemporary look that captures an international appeal.
Aditi Gupta explained: “As a designer I strive to create distinct moments in time, lasting memories to be held with vivid remembrance through stimulated senses. I find inspiration in everything I see; details, texture and color emerge and my mind begins to swim with designs. Design is lifestyle. It is a creative journey that consumes every moment of every day. I am always designing.”
Here are a few of my favourites from their latest collection:
This floor-length traditional mustard coloured anarkali incorporates detailed zardozi embroidery that showcases a glorious use of mirror and gota work, which originates from Rajasthan; I love the diamond shaped clean-cut design. This outfits caters the bride who loves contemporary styles, yet loyal to her traditions.
Grecian Glam is a geometrically accented gown, which as per the name has a Grecian theme. The feathers and metal work embellishes the neckline and the colour combination is a match made in heaven; perfect for that glamorous look at a wedding reception.
The Sapphire Starlet has a sophisticated combination of zardozi and sequenced embroidery with sparkling metal and mirror embellishment on the outfit. This collection serves the modern outlook and likings of the new Indian bride who looks for diverse and unique pieces.
This enchanting collection is beyond the concept of the traditional ghoonghat, for example with its’ innovation of a hood within a gown. The collection also forms of chíc and graceful sarees, formal suits and tunics; there is everything for everyone. I am quite intrigued to see what Aditi Gupta has to up their sleeves for their next collection; I am sure we will not be disappointed.
